King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center implemented a package of humanitarian projects in three countries, as part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to support the most needy communities around the world.

15 Artesian Wells in Sudan

The center established 15 solar-powered artesian wells in areas crowded with displaced people in the localities of Merawi, Ad-Dabbah, Al-Buraiq, and Dongola in the Northern State of the Republic of Sudan, aiming to provide safe and sustainable water sources for the most needy communities and to reduce the suffering of the population due to water scarcity.

Each water station consists of a groundwater well, a submersible pump and its accessories, a water tank with a capacity of 50 cubic meters, and a secure protective fence according to international safety specifications. These stations benefit 150,000 individuals, including 75,000 children, contributing to providing drinking water fit for human consumption, reducing waterborne diseases, and enhancing the sustainability of water services in Sudan.

200 Tons of Dates in Brazil

The center distributed 200 tons of dates in the Federative Republic of Brazil through the date distribution project, benefiting 161,452 individuals or 40,363 families from the most needy categories, refugees, and migrants.

The project included 50 cities in 18 Brazilian states, including Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and others. The distribution also extended to include the most needy categories in the Republic of Paraguay, within the framework of food security support projects implemented by the Kingdom in brotherly and friendly countries.

Shelter Assistance in Taiz

The center distributed 7 tents and 7 shelter bags in the western coast of Mocha District in Taiz Governorate, Republic of Yemen, benefiting 42 individuals, as part of the fifth phase of the shelter emergency plan project in Yemen.

These aids are part of the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and provide their basic needs.
