Launch of 'Code Nine 66' to Empower National Talents in the Electronic Gaming Industry
As part of empowering entrepreneurs and national talents to develop innovative electronic games and build promising startups in the gaming sector, the Digital Entrepreneurship Center 'Code', affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, launched the 'Code Nine 66' program in partnership with Savvy Games Group and Excel by Merak.
According to an official statement from the center on its 'X' platform account, the program’s journey begins with the Game Jam event, which spans 3 months and brings together creators, developers, designers, and entrepreneurs in a stimulating competitive environment to form teams, develop game ideas, and build playable prototypes.
At the conclusion of the event, the top 10 teams qualify for a specialized incubator that works on developing prototypes, testing their market viability, and enhancing their commercial readiness.
Code Nine 66 focuses on key tracks including game programming, game art, game design, and game marketing, and provides participants with an integrated support system that includes specialized mentoring, workshops, a game experience day, and development of presentation skills for investors and publishers, with the participation of more than 12 experts and mentors in the gaming industry and entrepreneurship.
The ministry invited entrepreneurs and ambitious national talents to register for the program by visiting the 'Code' website: https://code.mcit.gov.sa/ar/node/189028.
