National Falcon Center Launches International Auction for Production Farms in Riyadh in August
The National Falcon Center is preparing to launch its first activities after the issuance of its new regulation, through the International Auction for Falcon Production Farms, during the period from August 5 to 25 at the center's headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh.
The auction is organized as part of a new phase for the center, following the Cabinet's approval of its new regulation, aimed at enhancing its role in developing the falcon system and supporting its efforts in regulating and developing the sector, contributing to establishing the Kingdom's position as a global center for falconry.
This year's auction includes pavilions for local and international falcon farms, pavilions for falcon supplies, and a 'Future Falconer' pavilion, in addition to interactive displays and an auction platform allowing direct competition for elite breeds of productive falcons, providing an integrated experience for visitors and participants.
The auction represents an attractive destination for falconers from around the world, especially after the National Falcon Center earlier this year announced dedicating all rounds of its competitions to the 'Farkh' category for falcons sold at the auction, providing an opportunity for falconers and visitors to learn about elite falcons produced locally and internationally.
Increasing Turnout and Accompanying Events Last year, in 2025, the auction saw participation of 1,103 falcons from 67 farms and 23 countries, with sales exceeding 13 million riyals, and it received more than 20,000 visitors. This year, 2026, the center is organizing a number of specialized events alongside the international auction, including the Saudi International Falcon and Hunting Exhibition from October 1 to 10, the Melwah Race from October 4 to 9, the National Falcon Center Auction from October 1 to November 30, the King Abdulaziz Falcon Festival from November 17 to 30, and the National Falcon Center Cup from December 21 to 28.
