Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz summed up his emotions that overflowed throughout the Tabuk region with a word that captured this great love for the people of the region; as he improvised his feelings with tears overcoming him at a ceremony held by the people of Tabuk on the occasion of his recovery and return to the homeland, saying: ‘I adore you.’

This word reached every home of the people of this region dear to our hearts. How beautiful is Tabuk, and how beautiful are its people! And how beautiful is its beloved prince who has been linked to them for nearly 40 years.

‘Tabuk, the Rose,’ and beauty.. I visited Tabuk a year ago, and I had the honor of working there as a teacher at the beginning of my educational career. I was amazed by the tremendous development it has witnessed after more than 30 years: model government departments, top-level roads, gardens, and refined urban planning. A city that captivates you with its beauty and splendor, and behind this work and beauty undoubtedly stands Fahd bin Sultan, who loved Tabuk to the core and bonded with its people until they became his extended family, and he is the ideal father to them.

I watched Prince Fahd bin Sultan at a graduation ceremony for the sons of Tabuk, very happy at the graduation of his children from the prestigious University of Tabuk, this giant edifice that he was keen to establish for the region’s youth. Indeed, tears overcame him on many occasions out of joy and delight for his children.

In Tabuk, there is a beautiful and wonderful story, with the scent of roses wafting everywhere – a story of loyalty between Fahd bin Sultan and the people of Tabuk. If I were skilled in composing poetry, I would compose a poem about this loyalty and great love.

It was not just a fleeting night when the people of Tabuk expressed their happiness and joy at the arrival of their prince after his recovery journey that God bestowed upon him, but rather a night that embroidered the meaning of loyalty. This cohesion is a common policy in all regions of our beautiful kingdom – a approach and lifestyle adopted by this blessed Al Saud family in serving the people of the regions, hence you find this mutual loyalty and great love between the princes of the regions and the people.

Tabuk will continue to play the melody of this love, and hearts will continue to murmur prayers for this prince who gave Tabuk his heart, so Tabuk gave him its soul in loyalty and allegiance. It is the love of the north that never withers, and a story of loyalty that will be told generation after generation.

Truly, Saudi Arabia is a model country in everything, and we are proud and honored by it and its wise, generous leadership. This did not come from nothing, but from a approach followed by the kings and princes of Saudi Arabia since the era of the founder, King Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him. They established this approach so that this generosity, love, and loyalty continue.
