The branch of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa) in Tabuk region launched a campaign to vaccinate pets against rabies, as part of its preventive programs aimed at reducing zoonotic diseases and promoting animal health, over three days.

Director General of Weqaa Center Branch in Tabuk Region, Engineer Nasser bin Ruway'i al-Atwi, explained that the campaign is an extension of the center's efforts to raise the level of rabies prevention, enhance biosecurity, protect livestock, and preserve public health, pointing out that vaccination is the most effective means of preventing the disease and limiting its spread.

He affirmed that the vaccination service is provided free of charge, and the branch receives pet owners at approved vaccination sites daily from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM throughout the campaign period, calling on breeders and beneficiaries to vaccinate their animals and take advantage of the service to protect their animals' health and community safety, in addition to the continued implementation of preventive and awareness programs by the Weqaa Center Branch in Tabuk region to raise health awareness, enhance a culture of prevention, and protect human and animal health.
