The Taif Municipality yesterday removed a number of properties as part of the expansion project of the Hassan bin Thabit Road axis in the city center. The project aims to implement the first phase of the road expansion, which is an extension of the city's eastern entrance. The road will be 40 meters wide and 8 kilometers long.

It divides the city from west to east, and the road serves as a major traffic carrier, linking many side streets and neighborhoods along its length.

The Mayor of Taif, Engineer Mohammed Al-Makhraj, inspected the progress of the project and directed the speedy execution of the removal of the remaining properties obstructing the planning lines, and the immediate removal of debris to prevent any disruption to the active traffic on this axis, especially since the municipality has freed up traffic on large parts of the road after removing traffic lights.

How will the project help?

Facilitating smooth vehicle flow on the road

Speeding up movement from the city center to this axis and vice versa

Enhancing traffic improvement works on the road and intersections

Solving the problem of traffic congestion in many locations
