Public Prosecutor and Minister of Media Discuss Legal Media Discourse

The Public Prosecutor, Head of the Public Prosecution Council, Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, received Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary at the Public Prosecution headquarters yesterday to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the Public Prosecution and the Ministry of Media, and to develop the existing partnership between the two sides in relevant fields.

During the meeting, a number of topics of common interest were discussed, most notably the development of legal media discourse, enhancing coordination in handling media issues to contribute to the protection of rights and compliance with regulations, in addition to exchanging expertise in digital fields and the production of media content aimed at raising awareness and curbing the spread of misinformation. The Minister of Media praised the roles undertaken by the Public Prosecution in protecting rights, promoting justice, and safeguarding public interest, affirming that the media system is a supportive partner for judicial efforts by highlighting its messages and initiatives with professional content that enhances legal awareness in society.

For his part, the Public Prosecutor commended the efforts of the Ministry of Media in developing media discourse and enhancing its professional and digital presence, noting that this role supports the delivery of reliable legal information and reinforces a culture of compliance with regulations.
