Qassim Secretary Discusses with 'Vegetation Development' Enhancing Cooperation to Combat Desertification

Engineer Mohammed Al-Majali, Secretary of Qassim Region, met with Engineer Ali Asiri, Director of the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification branch in Qassim Region, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and integration between the two sides in the fields of vegetation development and combating desertification, supporting sustainable development goals and improving the quality of life in the region.

The meeting reviewed aspects of joint cooperation and mechanisms to unify efforts to implement environmental initiatives and projects, contributing to vegetation development, reducing the effects of desertification, and enhancing environmental sustainability in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Engineer Mohammed Al-Majali affirmed the Qassim Region Municipality's keenness to strengthen partnership with government entities and integrate roles in implementing developmental plans and initiatives, achieving sustainable development goals, improving quality of life, and enhancing the preservation of natural resources and the environment in the region.
