The Islamic University in Medina continues its intensive preparations to organize the conference 'Saudi Arabia's Efforts in Countering Intellectual Deviations', scheduled to be held in Rabi' al-Thani 1448 AH, with wide academic participation including researchers, specialists, and influencers representing over 100 countries and nationalities, a step reflecting the international presence of the conference and the importance of its scientific axes.

The university is working to complete the scientific and organizational aspects, along with communicating with researchers and participants, in preparation for the conference, which aims to highlight the Kingdom's experience in promoting intellectual awareness and consolidating the values of moderation and centrism, and discussing the most prominent contemporary intellectual challenges.

The head of the conference organizing committee, Dean of the College of Creed and Dawah at the Islamic University, Professor Dr. Maher Khouja, explained that the conference enjoys direct support and follow-up from the university president, Dr. Saleh Al-Aqla, who directed the allocation of all university capabilities to ensure the success of this scientific event, thereby enhancing its role in serving society, producing knowledge, and building scientific partnerships that contribute to spreading intellectual awareness and confronting deviations.

Consolidating Intellectual Awareness

Khouja pointed out that the support and care the education and scientific research sector in the Kingdom receives from the wise leadership reflects the continuous interest in consolidating intellectual awareness, promoting the values of moderation and centrism, and building human capital, in line with national development targets.

He indicated that the conference represents a scientific platform bringing together an elite of researchers, specialists, and influencers to review the Kingdom's efforts in addressing intellectual deviations and exchange scientific expertise on best practices in intellectual prevention and enhancing intellectual security.

He added that the conference sessions will address a number of main axes, including national initiatives in countering extremism, causes and effects of intellectual deviation, mental health and its relationship to intellectual prevention, promoting centrism through correct doctrine, the integration of institutional roles in protecting society, as well as utilizing modern technologies and artificial intelligence to support intellectual awareness.

Khouja affirmed that the conference targets academics and researchers, decision-makers, educational and pedagogical leaders, media professionals and content creators, and university students, thereby contributing to enhancing integration among national institutions, highlighting the Saudi experience in countering intellectual deviations, enriching scientific dialogue towards a more aware society capable of facing intellectual challenges.
