From the British capital London, flynas, the Saudi low-cost airline, confirmed the purchase of 5 wide-body A330neo aircraft plus 20 A321neo aircraft under its existing agreements with Airbus, raising the number of confirmed aircraft to 235 out of a total of 280 aircraft in its purchase orders, aiming to enhance growth and expansion plans for the coming years.

With the confirmation of the purchase, flynas' total confirmed orders for A330neo aircraft rise to 20, while its total confirmed orders for the A321 family reach 215 aircraft.

The agreement was signed for flynas by Bandar Al-Mohanna, CEO and Managing Director, in the presence of Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan, the Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and Ayed Al-Jeaid, Chairman of the Board of Directors, while for Airbus it was signed by Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Executive Vice President of Sales for the Commercial Aircraft segment.

Al-Mohanna said on this occasion: 'This step comes to ensure sustainable growth in the size of the company's fleet in the coming years to keep pace with the growth and expansion of our six operational bases across Saudi Arabia, in addition to enhancing our operational and expansion capabilities in flynas Syria.'

He pointed out that increasing the volume of confirmed orders will enhance flynas' ability to reach new markets and support its role as a key logistics partner in strengthening the Kingdom's position as a global hub for tourism and travel, and achieving the goals of the Guests of God program to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques, in addition to contributing to raising the sector's capacity.

Al-Mohanna added that the increase in confirmed aircraft orders to 235 out of the total orders from Airbus of 280 aircraft will enhance operational and expansion capabilities to support the growth and transformation witnessed by the Saudi economy and market in various fields, especially with the major tourism projects and global events that Saudi Arabia will host, such as Expo 2030 and the 2034 World Cup.
