The Ministers of Education and Industry, along with other officials, launched the 'Summer of Mawhiba' program, organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba). It will be implemented in 19 cities locally and internationally, featuring 88 enrichment units for over 12,000 gifted students in various tracks aligned with national priorities.

Riyadh, 20 Muharram 1448 AH, corresponding to July 5, 2026 (SPA) – His Excellency Minister of Education Mr. Youssef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, His Excellency Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Kharif, and several officials today launched 'Summer of Mawhiba,' organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba). The program will be implemented in 19 cities inside and outside the Kingdom, in cooperation with a select group of academic and research entities. The launch was attended by His Excellency Dr. Muneer bin Mahmoud Al-Dosouqi, Acting Governor of the Research, Development and Innovation Authority; His Excellency Eng. Majid bin Mohammed Al-Mazed, Governor of the National Cybersecurity Authority; His Excellency Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti, Deputy Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture; and His Highness Prince Nawaf bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, CEO of the Architecture and Design Commission. 'Summer of Mawhiba' includes a package of enrichment and scientific programs, comprising the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program, Mawhiba Research Enrichment Program, Mawhiba Global Enrichment Program, Mawhiba Ambassadors Program, Electronic Games Development Program, and other technical programs, across four specialized tracks: human health, leadership in energy and industry, environmental sustainability and basic needs, and future economies, in line with national research, development, and innovation priorities. His Excellency the Minister of Education stated that 'Summer of Mawhiba' represents a qualitative path to enrich the knowledge of gifted students and develop their skills in stimulating educational environments, through 88 enrichment units implemented inside and outside the Kingdom for over 12,000 male and female gifted students. He noted that these programs reflect the effective partnership between the Ministry of Education, Mawhiba, and relevant entities in preparing a creative and competitive generation in the fields of science and knowledge. Meanwhile, Secretary-General of Mawhiba, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Kuraidis, commended the launch by Their Excellencies, emphasizing that this step reflects the integration of national efforts in nurturing and empowering gifted students, and embodies the interest of national sectors in providing qualitative educational and knowledge environments that contribute to preparing a creative, competitive generation capable of contributing to development pathways and future fields. Al-Kuraidis explained that 'Summer of Mawhiba' constitutes a new milestone in the foundation's journey to invest in promising minds, through a system of qualitative programs linked to national priority pathways, implemented in partnership with 53 academic and research institutions and specialized educational entities in the Kingdom, Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
