The Asir Region Municipality has intensified its field presence to curb street vending and improve the urban landscape, as evening inspection teams carried out a broad campaign targeting locations where violative vendors operate.

The confiscated quantities were handed over to the 'Hifz al-Ni'mah' Association (Food Preservation Charity) to benefit from them.

The campaign resulted in the seizure of 2.98 kilograms of fruits and vegetables displayed in a random manner and of unknown source, managed by irregular labor.

The municipality explained that the confiscated quantities were handed over to the 'Hifz al-Ni'mah' Association to benefit from them according to approved procedures, in support of charitable work and to reduce food waste.

The Asir Municipality affirmed the continuation of its daily inspection campaigns on street vending sites and markets, to enhance compliance, protect public health, and improve the quality of the urban landscape, calling on residents to purchase their needs from licensed official outlets to ensure consumer safety.
