The General Authority for Roads has announced its strategic and active partnership with the Saudi Contractors Authority, aiming to enhance compliance with the Saudi Road Code and support the application of its technical standards in all road projects across the Kingdom.

The partnership aims to provide support to ensure the optimal application of approved technical standards.

It added that this partnership is part of its efforts to elevate quality and safety standards in the road network, in line with the best global practices in road construction and maintenance.

It explained that this partnership focuses on several key aspects, including raising contractors' awareness of the code's requirements, providing necessary support to ensure optimal application of approved technical standards, and aiming to support execution quality in road projects, thereby contributing to achieving the highest levels of performance and quality for road infrastructure.

The Authority affirmed its commitment to continuing integrated work with its strategic partners, foremost among them the Saudi Contractors Authority, to ensure comprehensive and effective application of the Saudi Road Code.

This cooperation aims to achieve the targets of the Road Sector Program, which are based on quality and safety, reaching the sixth global ranking in the Road Quality Index by 2030, and covering the road network with traffic safety factors according to the classification of the International Road Assessment Programme.
