Taibah University Attracts 477 Pioneers in Creativity and Innovation

Taibah University has attracted 477 researchers as part of an initiative to host emerging researchers and research fellowships, aiming to support scientific research and innovation, and attract national and international talents.
The university explained that 18 researchers (male and female) have been accepted in the first phase of the initiative, in addition to enabling 198 male and female students through the Emerging Researchers Empowerment Program, and engaging 279 male and female students in the Impact and Innovation Fellowship Program, supervised by 11 academic supervisors from the university. The initiative targets PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s degree holders, as well as graduate students, along with Saudi and resident researchers, to support building a research ecosystem that contributes to developing national capabilities and enhancing research excellence, and enabling researchers to contribute to addressing research challenges of national priority in a scientific environment that stimulates creativity and knowledge production.
The programs available under the initiative include: the Emerging Researchers Empowerment Program, which aims to support researchers at the beginning of their research careers; the Postdoctoral Research Fellowship to develop advanced research projects; and the Visiting Researcher Fellowship to attract research expertise and enhance scientific cooperation. The initiative focuses on the fields of industry, health, energy, and technology, in line with national development goals, and offers participants direct scientific supervision of their research by specialists, participation in ongoing research projects, access to the university's laboratories and research facilities, building academic and research relationships, developing research and innovation skills, enhancing their CVs and practical experience, in addition to obtaining an accredited certificate upon completion of the program.
