Two Students from Al-Jouf University Win International Excellence Award in AI in Education

Two students from the College of Computer Science and Information at Al-Jouf University won the International Excellence Award for their project "Morph," as part of the Second International Competition on Artificial Intelligence in Education for the year 2026, held in Hong Kong, organized by the AI Research and Education Alliance (AIREA) under the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK).

The award was won by students Ghada bint Hamdan al-Falah and Safia bint Rafi al-Rahim, supervised by Assistant Professor of Software Engineering Dr. Masha'el bint Nasser al-Khomsan, within the pathway of employing generative AI tools. The "Morph" project is an adaptive learning platform aimed at higher education students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as the system monitors the student's attention level in real-time via an EEG signal, and automatically reformulates the study material into a more suitable educational format when attention levels drop, based on established educational theories.

This achievement reflects the ability of university students to employ AI technologies in developing educational solutions that meet learners' needs.
