To Avoid Penalties, Non-Profit Sector Directs Associations to Complete Transport Licenses

The National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development emphasized to sector organizations the necessity of adhering to heavy goods transport and private passenger bus transport regulations, and completing the issuance of necessary licenses to avoid statutory penalties.
The center issued an official circular to chairmen of boards of directors and trustees in associations, civil institutions, and family funds, stressing 'the importance of adhering to instructions and regulations issued by the regulatory body.'

He explained that this procedure contributes to raising the level of public safety when engaging in non-commercial heavy transport activity or private passenger transport activity. This directive is based on the Road Transport System issued by royal decree and the executive regulations issued by the Board of Directors of the General Transport Authority. These legislations include the executive regulation for heavy goods transport activity and the regulation for private passenger transport by buses.
The CEO of the center, Ahmed Al-Suwailem, stated that completing licenses and permits to carry out these activities ensures compliance and avoids penalties stipulated in the regulations. The center bases its tasks on its regulation issued by a decision of the Cabinet Council, aimed at activating the role of sector organizations and expanding their developmental contributions in integration with government efforts.
