Confirm institutional communication and international protocol consultant Walid Khalid bin Hazim, on the occasion of World Public Relations Day, that public relations is no longer just a function for communication or news dissemination, but has become a strategic pillar for building trust, enhancing reputation, and solidifying the relationship between institutions and their audience, noting that its true impact is measured by what happens behind the scenes more than what appears at the forefront.

He added that the essence of public relations is not in creating visibility, but in building bridges of trust, managing relationships professionally and responsibly, and understanding stakeholder needs before crafting messages and setting directions, emphasizing that the practitioner's success is not measured by the number of press releases or posts, but by their ability to protect the institution's reputation and enhance its mental image.

Bin Hazim explained that his experience in institutional communication and protocol confirmed to him that the mental image is formed from small details before major situations, starting from good reception, speed of response, language of discourse, quality of meeting organization, active listening, up to the moment of farewell, stating that a sincere word or humane gesture can build a long-term relationship, while a delayed response or weak communication can lead to a decline in trust level.

He pointed out that successful public relations are built on sustainable impact, not on density of appearance; they create positive impressions, enhance credibility, and manage relationships in a way that achieves sustainable trust between the institution and its audience.

He concluded his statement by congratulating all public relations practitioners, expressing his hope that they contribute to establishing more professionalism and awareness, and continue to create a positive impact that reflects on institutions and society.
