Local sources told Anadolu that dozens of settlers attacked the town of Far'ata and opened live fire at Palestinians, along with assaults on residents and their property.

The sources added that the settlers set fire to agricultural land and property in the towns of Far'ata, Jit, Imatin, and Iraq Burin, while residents tried to confront the attacks and extinguish the fires.

On Friday morning, 4 Palestinians were killed and 4 injured, three of them critically, in an attack by the Israeli army and settlers on the town of Tel southwest of Nablus in the northern West Bank, according to a statement by the Palestinian Health Ministry.

In contrast, the Israeli side announced the killing of a settler and the injury of three others in a shooting incident near the town, before the army imposed a siege on the city of Nablus and surrounding villages.

As a result, the area is witnessing a widespread Israeli military deployment, coinciding with continued settler attacks on several villages and towns west and south of Nablus.

The West Bank has been witnessing since October 2023 an escalation in Israeli army and settler attacks, resulting in the killing of 1,182 Palestinians and the injury of thousands, in addition to the arrest of about 24,000 Palestinians, according to official Palestinian data.
