The Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its strong condemnation of the escalation of settler terror and systematic crimes committed against Palestinian civilians, which take place with the complicity and direct support of the Israeli occupation forces in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The organization referred in this regard to the recent crimes in the villages of 'Tel' in Nablus Governorate and 'Deir Jarir' in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, as well as the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded, coinciding with attacks by extremist settlers on unarmed civilians, destruction of their property, burning of their agricultural lands and homes, and theft of their livestock, amid the growing pace of illegal settlement expansion. It warned of the serious consequences of this escalation resulting from the Israeli colonial aggression, organized terror, and ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people and their resources, emphasizing that these practices constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, international legitimacy resolutions, and the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice.
The General Secretariat affirmed that the continuation and escalation of this terror constitute a de facto implementation of the Israeli occupation's policies aimed at forced displacement, ethnic cleansing, and genocide being committed in all occupied Palestinian territories, including the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Holy Jerusalem. The General Secretariat renewed its call on the international community and UN institutions, foremost the Security Council and international judicial bodies, to assume their legal and moral responsibilities in providing international protection for the Palestinian people, and holding the occupation and settler gangs accountable for their organized crimes against unarmed civilians in accordance with the provisions of international criminal law, and also calls on all countries to continue their efforts to dismantle the settlement system and its illegal entities in the occupied Palestinian territories.
