(CNN)-- One person was injured in Kuwait after debris fell from interception operations following an Iranian attack with missiles and drones targeting the Gulf state, according to a statement by the Kuwaiti army.

The Kuwaiti army said in a statement on Thursday that the armed forces detected, early Thursday, '3 ballistic missiles, one cruise missile, and 10 hostile drones inside Kuwaiti airspace, and they were successfully intercepted and dealt with.'

The interception operations resulted in material damage due to falling shrapnel in a number of locations in the country, in addition to one injury recorded, with the injured receiving necessary medical care and in stable condition, according to the statement.

The statement added: 'The inspection and bomb disposal team of the Land Force Engineering also dealt with a number of reports related to remnants of the interception operations.'

In Bahrain, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force said that the kingdom's air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a number of Iranian aerial attacks.

It added, in a post on platform 'X', formerly Twitter, that Iran 'continues its systematic hostile approach through its criminal attacks with missiles and drones targeting civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain,' stressing that 'the deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.'

Earlier, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced, according to what was reported by Iranian state television, targeting US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, in response to the latest wave of US strikes.

The Iranian army also announced that it launched attack drones towards a 'satellite antenna' in Qatar, according to what was reported by Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency, in the first acknowledgment that the Gulf state was among the targets of the latest Iranian strikes.
