The League of Arab States affirmed its absolute rejection of the Houthi attack on a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea, as well as Iranian attacks on Gulf countries and Jordan, stressing that these practices constitute a violation of international law and a threat to navigation security and regional stability.

The official spokesman for the Arab League said in a statement that the League welcomes the position expressed by the Gulf Cooperation Council, stressing the importance of Arab solidarity in confronting threats targeting their security and the safety of maritime corridors.

Threat to international navigation

He stressed the need for an immediate halt to all actions that threaten international navigation in the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz, calling on Iran to cease its transgressions and return to the negotiation process as the only way to reach a comprehensive and sustainable settlement.
