The US Army announced Thursday morning that it had concluded a new round of strikes against Iran and revealed their targets.

A statement from US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that "an additional round of strikes against Iran, which began Wednesday night, was conducted with the aim of undermining Iran's ability to attack commercial ships and innocent civilian sailors in the Strait of Hormuz."

The statement added that "US forces struck approximately 90 Iranian military targets, including air defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone storage sites, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure along the Iranian coast."

These latest strikes came "following the successful execution of offensive strikes in Iran the previous night," according to the US statement.

CENTCOM forces had attacked about 80 Iranian military targets on Tuesday night, including more than 60 small boats belonging to the Revolutionary Guard, with the aim of "inflicting heavy losses on Iran for violating the ceasefire by attacking 3 commercial ships that were sailing in the Strait of Hormuz."

CENTCOM's statement concluded: "US forces remain alert, strong, and ready to execute operations as directed by the Commander-in-Chief," referring to US President Donald Trump.

The news site Axios quoted a US official as saying that the US Air Force bombed two railway bridges in Iran, marking the first strikes on infrastructure in that country since the ceasefire on April 8.

In response, Iran's Revolutionary Guard announced Thursday that it had targeted US military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait in retaliation for the latest strikes, according to a statement carried by Iranian state television.

Parliament Speaker and chief Iranian negotiator Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warned the United States amid the exchange of new strikes, emphasizing that "any US attack will be met with a similar response."

Qalibaf, who leads negotiations with the United States and is one of Iran's most prominent political figures, said in a post on platform X: "If you strike, you will receive the strike."

He asserted that "the Strait of Hormuz will only be opened according to Iranian arrangements, not through US threats."

On Wednesday, Trump expressed his belief that the ceasefire was "over" and launched a scathing attack on the Iranian leadership, describing them as "crazy," "evil," and "scum."
