The Kuwaiti army announced on Wednesday night that its air defenses are confronting attacks by 'hostile' drones originating from Iran, while warning sirens were activated in Bahrain.
The Kuwaiti army said in a statement on X: 'Kuwaiti air defenses are currently confronting attacks by hostile drones following the criminal Iranian aggression.'
For its part, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior called on citizens and residents to 'remain calm and head to the nearest safe place.'
The Kuwaiti armed forces had announced on Wednesday the interception of four cruise missiles and 21 drones launched from Iranian territory in Kuwaiti airspace. The General Staff said in a statement on the 'X' platform that the armed forces spotted four hostile cruise missiles and 21 drones in Kuwaiti airspace, and they were intercepted and destroyed.
In turn, the Bahraini army announced on Wednesday that it had confronted new Iranian attacks, as the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force said in a statement: 'Air defense systems of the Bahrain Defense Force confronted, intercepted, and destroyed a number of treacherous Iranian aerial attacks this morning, Wednesday,' adding that 'Iran continues its systematic hostile approach through its criminal attacks targeting civilians.'
