WAS - Riyadh:

GCC Secretary-General Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi condemned in the strongest terms the Iranian attacks that targeted the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, including assaults on infrastructure and vital facilities, which resulted in injuries to a number of members of the armed forces in the State of Kuwait.

He stressed that Iran's actions represent a serious and unprecedented escalation, reflecting a clear determination to violate international rules and norms, with complete disregard for the consequences of pushing the region towards further tension and instability. He noted that targeting infrastructure and vital facilities not only threatens the targeted countries but directly affects the security of the entire region, calling on the international community to take practical and deterrent steps to stop the repeated Iranian aggressions and hold those responsible accountable, in order to preserve regional security and peace and prevent the region from sliding into further escalation.

Albudaiwi emphasized the GCC's unified stand with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, and its full support for all measures they take to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, expressing his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured members of the armed forces in the State of Kuwait.
