A statement from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense confirmed that the armed forces detected, from Tuesday evening until the issuance of the statement, one ballistic missile, five cruise missiles, and 33 hostile drones, which were intercepted and dealt with.
The statement added: "The sinful Iranian aggression resulted in the targeting of a number of vital and civilian facilities, and the fall of shrapnel in several locations in the country, causing material damage."
The statement indicated that one of the Kuwaiti naval vessels was directly targeted, resulting in injuries to four members of the armed forces, who received necessary treatment and are in stable condition.
Earlier on Tuesday, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) advised airlines to avoid the airspace over Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and a large area of water over the Gulf of Oman due to "high risks" amid the escalating conflict between the United States and Iran.
Details of the attack indicate the use of a diverse arsenal of Iranian weapons, including ballistic and cruise missiles and drones, reflecting the evolution of Iranian offensive capabilities. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) had warned airlines to avoid the airspace of several Gulf countries due to high risks, indicating the extension of the repercussions of the Iranian-American conflict to the region. The international community is closely monitoring these developments, as they may lead to further escalation or diplomatic steps to contain the crisis.
