The UAE authorities denied on Thursday the validity of a report issued by an international news agency about hearing explosions in central Dubai.

The Dubai Government Media Office said in a statement that it "denies the validity of the report" issued by an international news agency "about explosions in central Dubai."

And affirmed that "the information contained in the report is incorrect."

The Media Office also called on "media outlets and the public to obtain news and information from their official and reliable sources."

And urged "to verify accuracy before publishing or circulating any information, and to avoid spreading rumors, false news, and erroneous press reports."

This comes amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran, as the United States has been launching strikes on several Iranian areas for days, while Iran responds by targeting what it says are American targets in the region.
