Border Guards in Yanbu Apprehend 3 Violators of Marine Activities Regulations
The coastal border guard patrols in Yanbu Governorate, Madinah Region, stated that they apprehended 3 citizens violating the safety and security regulations for those practicing marine activities in the marine areas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The competent authorities indicated that the violators engaged in fishing without obtaining an official permit, in addition to using prohibited tools while fishing.
The sources added that legal procedures were taken against the violators in coordination with the relevant authorities, as part of efforts to protect living aquatic resources.
In the same context, the Border Guard called on everyone to comply with the regulations and instructions related to protecting the marine environment, and to report any cases of aggression against the environment or wildlife via number 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 994 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions, emphasizing the confidentiality of reports and that the reporter bears no responsibility.
