Bahrain's Interior Ministry announced: "The warning siren has been sounded. We urge citizens and residents to remain calm, proceed to the nearest safe location, and follow news through official channels."

Qatar's Interior Ministry also stated: "Everyone must stay indoors and in safe places, avoid windows, glass facades, and open areas until the danger is over."

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the US military launched a new round of strikes against Iran after Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces attacked a container ship flying the Cypriot flag that was transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

According to a CENTCOM statement, "One civilian crew member is missing, and the vessel is unable to continue its journey due to a fire onboard and severe damage to the engine room."

CENTCOM confirmed that the strikes were carried out under the direction of US President Donald Trump.

Axios quoted a US official as saying that among the targets of US strikes in Iran are missile and drone launch sites, as well as air surveillance radars and missile storage sites.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth commented on the new round of US strikes on Iran early Sunday, saying in a post on his X account that Iran "made a bad choice and is now paying the price."
