Attack hits three border posts of Kuwaiti army and oil drilling platform
(CNN) -- The Kuwaiti army announced on Sunday that three land border posts in the north of the country were subjected to an "aggressive attack", resulting in "material damage".
A statement by the official spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Staff Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan, said: "Three land border posts in the north of the country were subjected to a sinful aggressive attack, resulting in material damage."
The statement added: "Also, one of the offshore drilling platforms belonging to the Kuwait Oil Company in Kuwaiti territorial waters was targeted by a hostile drone, resulting in material damage and the injury of one worker, who is receiving the necessary medical care."
Earlier on Sunday, the Kuwaiti Armed Forces announced that they had confronted "hostile aerial targets" within the country's airspace. Similarly, the UAE Ministry of Defense said on Sunday that air defenses were dealing with "missile attacks," while warning sirens sounded in Bahrain.
