US military officials said Wednesday that US forces struck 90 Iranian military targets in the latest attacks on Iran.

The strikes included air defense systems, missile and drone storage sites, and other assets. Iran's armed forces also announced targeting US sites in Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain, according to Iranian state television.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) posted a statement on X early Thursday, announcing that the US 'completed an additional round of strikes against Iran on July 8 to further undermine Tehran's ability to attack commercial shipping and innocent civilian mariners in the Strait of Hormuz.'

Explosions were heard in several locations along Iran's southern coast, according to Iranian state media, after CENTCOM announced a second consecutive night of strikes against Iran.

US President Donald Trump also said Wednesday he ordered new strikes on Iran, warning of 'far worse' consequences if Tehran continues targeting ships sailing through the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States reaffirms its commitment to continuing the negotiating path to reach a comprehensive agreement with Iran.

Iran's official news agency IRNA reported Thursday, citing a local official, that three people were killed and others injured in a US strike on western Iran.

Khuzestan deputy governor Valiollah Hayati told journalists that three people were killed and others injured in a US attack on the outskirts of Ahvaz, according to the official Iranian agency.

State television reported the suspension of the railway line between Tehran and Mashhad after the US strikes, hours before the funeral of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in the eastern Iranian city.

The operator of Iran's railways said in a statement that the line's suspension was due to a 'criminal attack carried out by the American-Israeli enemy' targeting the railway track, according to the statement, adding that it sent teams to repair the damage and that authorities are working to provide ground transportation for stranded passengers.

The official IRNA news agency also reported hearing warplanes over Kish Island, and explosions shook the coastal cities of Bandar Abbas, Konarak, and Chabahar, causing power outages in parts of them.

For its part, Iran's Revolutionary Guards announced Thursday that it targeted US military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait in response to the latest US strikes on Iran, warning that its responses would expand to include other bases in the region if US attacks are repeated, according to a statement carried by Iranian state television.

The Guards added that it targeted 'infrastructure and vital facilities' at the Arefjan and Ali Al Salem bases in Kuwait and the Juffair and Sheikh Isa bases in Bahrain, with missiles and drones.

Mohsen Rezaei, military adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader, said on X that 'the aggressor enemy and its supporters will face severe punishment.'

Iran's Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, also said that the Strait of Hormuz will only be opened under 'Iranian arrangements' following the mutual strikes between Tehran and Washington.

Ghalibaf said on his X account: 'The United States has not yet learned that intimidation and broken promises no longer go unpunished,' adding, 'I will be clear: If you strike, you will be struck.'

US President Donald Trump had written on social media over an image he posted showing what appeared to be a bombing of a site in Iran, saying: 'This is retaliation for the strikes Iran carried out against ships yesterday. If it happens again, it will be much worse!'

Trump also said earlier Wednesday that he expects the round of military escalation to end soon, without ruling out the possibility of further talks between the two sides.
