The official spokesman for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that the terrorist Houthi militia committed a cowardly and reckless act when they targeted commercial ships in the Red Sea, adding this to their list of crimes and maritime terrorism in one of the most important international waterways.

Major General Al-Maliki explained that the Kingdom has stood and will continue to stand by the brotherly Yemeni people and their government in the most difficult circumstances and changes, and the Kingdom renews its continued support for them to confront the terrorist Houthi militias.

Major General Al-Maliki also clarified that the port of Hodeidah was not targeted and that all Yemeni ports, including Hodeidah, Ras Isa, and Salif, are open to maritime navigation and are operating to receive commercial ships transporting food, goods, fuel, and construction materials. Likewise, flights to Yemeni airports. The Houthi militia still refuses to operate flights from Sana'a International Airport, insisting on besieging the Yemeni people to export the problems and suffering they have caused, and increase the suffering of our Yemeni brothers in the areas under their control.

Major General Al-Maliki stated that the coalition carried out a firm and strong response after prioritizing and focusing on preserving the capabilities of the brotherly Yemeni people, and that the targeting focused on legitimate military targets of the terrorist Houthi militia linked to the threat to ships in the Red Sea, and that the military response operation has ended achieving the principle of proportionality and the planned operational objectives. The operation was carried out in accordance with the provisions of international humanitarian law and its customary rules and in accordance with the principle of proportionality.

Major General Al-Maliki affirmed that the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition will continue to take all operational procedures and necessary measures to protect our ships and protect the interests of the Kingdom and its national capabilities, and if the Houthi militia continues its hostile acts, the response will be without leniency.
