GCC Condemns Continued Iranian Attacks on Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan: Grave Escalation
His Excellency Mr. Jassim Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), condemned in the strongest terms the treacherous Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and their targeting of infrastructure and civilian facilities, which resulted in injuries to a number of civilian workers in the State of Kuwait. His Excellency affirmed that what Iran has done constitutes a very dangerous escalation, a grave violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, and war crimes that require international accountability and prosecution, for targeting infrastructure and civilian facilities in a flagrant violation of all international norms and covenants, and an insistence on destabilizing the security and stability of the region. His Excellency stressed that the GCC stands united with the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and supports all measures they take to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, expressing his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured in the State of Kuwait.
