His Excellency Mr. Jassim Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), condemned in the strongest terms the treacherous Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the targeting of infrastructure and civilian facilities, which resulted in injuries to a number of civilian workers in the State of Kuwait. His Excellency affirmed that Iran's actions constitute an extremely dangerous escalation, a grave violation of international law and the UN Charter, and war crimes that warrant international accountability and prosecution, given the deliberate targeting of infrastructure and civilian facilities in flagrant violation of all international norms and conventions, and a persistence in undermining the region's security and stability. His Excellency stressed that the GCC stands united with the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and supports all measures they take to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, while expressing wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured in the State of Kuwait.
