The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, strongly condemned the terrorist ballistic missile attack carried out by the Houthi militia targeting the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Albudaiwi described the attack as 'cowardly,' stressing that it constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and reflects the militia's determination to undermine regional security and stability and threaten the safety of civilians and facilities.

The Secretary-General stressed that the continuation of these terrorist attacks and the Houthi militia's violation of all international laws and ceasefire agreements requires a firm and deterrent international stance that puts an end to the hostile practices and ensures accountability for those responsible, contributing to the preservation of regional and international security and peace.

Albudaiwi affirmed that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the GCC states, noting that the Council stands united with the Kingdom in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
