The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist ballistic missile attack carried out by the Houthi militia targeting the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing that this assault constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and reveals the militia's determination to undermine security and stability and threaten the safety of civilians and facilities.

Albudaiwi emphasized that the continuation of these terrorist attacks and the Houthi militia's violation of all international laws and ceasefire agreements necessitates a firm and deterrent international stance that puts an end to the hostile practices and ensures the accountability of those responsible, thereby contributing to the preservation of regional and international security and peace.

The Secretary-General affirmed that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the GCC states, noting that the Council stands united with the Kingdom in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.
