His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed his strongest condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi terrorist targeting of the ship (ENCELIA), which belongs to a Saudi company, affirming that this attack represents an extension of the hostile behavior adopted by the militia and a flagrant violation of international law and the rules of freedom of maritime navigation.

He stressed that the continued threat by the Houthi militia to target commercial vessels and threaten international shipping lanes constitutes a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region and undermines international efforts to protect sea lanes and ensure the smooth flow of global trade, which requires a firm international stance to deter these irresponsible practices. His Excellency emphasized the GCC's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures it takes to maintain its security, the safety of its facilities, and its vital interests, affirming that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the GCC states.
