General / Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism Celebrates Graduation of First Batch of "Peace Grant" Initiative in Partnership with Naif Arab University Riyadh, Muharram 22, 1448 AH (July 7, 2026) – SPA The Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism, in the presence of His Excellency the President of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, Dr. Abdulmajeed bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan; the Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism, Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi; representatives of member states of the Alliance; and a number of university and Alliance officials, celebrated the graduation of the first batch of the "Peace Grant" initiative, which was implemented in strategic partnership with the university. The ceremony concluded with the graduation of (16) students representing several member states: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Maldives, the Republic of Chad, the State of Palestine, and the Republic of Yemen. The "Peace Grant" initiative is part of the strategic intellectual initiatives adopted by the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism, based on its belief that intellectual confrontation is one of the most important pillars of combating terrorism and extremism, through building and qualifying national competencies and enhancing their scientific and practical capabilities, thereby contributing to the consolidation of the values of moderation and centrism and protecting societies from extremist ideas. The ceremony featured a documentary film that reviewed the objectives of the initiative, its implementation stages, its most prominent scientific and training axes, and the results achieved in preparing qualified cadres possessing the necessary intellectual and scientific tools to confront extremist and terrorist discourse, thus enhancing the ability of national institutions in member states to develop prevention programs and build societal awareness. The representative of the students, Lieutenant Colonel Moussa Mohammed from the Republic of Chad, delivered a speech in which he expressed his great thanks and gratitude to the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences for the advanced scientific environment provided by the initiative, and for the knowledge and distinctive experiences acquired by the participants, which will have a direct impact on developing their professional performance, contributing to serving their national institutions, and transferring knowledge to their colleagues in their countries. In his speech on the occasion, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism, Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, affirmed that investment in human capital is the most impactful and sustainable investment in confronting terrorism, noting that building intellectual capacities and qualifying national competencies are a fundamental pillar for enhancing intellectual security, drying up the sources of extremism, and consolidating the values of moderation and tolerance in societies. He added that the "Peace Grant" initiative embodies a practical model of integration between international and academic organizations, and reflects the Alliance's commitment to offering qualitative initiatives that serve member states and contribute to developing their national cadres, thereby enhancing their ability to face current intellectual challenges in accordance with best scientific and professional practices.
