Hamas said on Saturday that the Israeli army's bombing of a residential apartment in the Al-Nasr neighborhood of Gaza City, which killed 5 Palestinians including a girl, constitutes a 'deliberate war crime and an extension of the genocide war.'
The movement added in a statement that the attack reflects the Israeli government's determination to continue killing operations in the Gaza Strip, despite the ceasefire agreement being in effect.
It said: 'These ongoing crimes reveal the true face of the occupation, its thirst for the blood of our unarmed Palestinian people, and its pursuit of continuing the genocide in Gaza under the cover of the ceasefire agreement.'
Hamas called on the US administration and the countries that guarantee the agreement to intervene to stop the Israeli attacks.
It called on the international community and its institutions to hold Israel and its leaders accountable for their crimes against Palestinians.
According to the latest data from the Gaza Health Ministry, the death toll from Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement has risen to 1,144 killed and 3,703 injured.
Since the start of the Israeli genocide war on the Gaza Strip on October 8, 2023, Israel has killed 73,269 Palestinians and injured 173,811 others.
The war has also left widespread destruction, affecting about 90 percent of the civilian infrastructure in the Strip.
