Hundreds of settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque
Hundreds of settlers stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque today, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported, citing the Jerusalem Governorate, that at least 900 settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, coinciding with the commemoration of what is called the 'Commemoration of the Destruction of the Temple'.
It explained that the occupation forces allowed an increase in the number of individuals per group during the incursions, reaching up to about 150 settlers.
The settlers continued to perform Talmudic rituals inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the incursions, amid tightened military measures in its vicinity.
These incursions come as part of the occupation's attempts to erase the Islamic and historical identity of Jerusalem, and to impose its plans aimed at the temporal and spatial division of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is subjected to increasing incursions by settlers under the protection of occupation forces, in a dangerous escalation and continuous violation of the sanctity of the mosque and its existing historical and legal status.
