Iran: Our current operations focus on destroying US offensive capability in the region
According to Iranian Revolutionary Guard spokesman Brigadier General Hossein Mohbi

The spokesman for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Brigadier General Hossein Mohbi, said that his country's current military operations "focus on destroying the offensive infrastructure of the United States in the region."
He added in a post on his account on the American platform "X" on Wednesday evening that "the enemy should not think that it can continue the current equation of war and enter a war of attrition."
He continued: "Iran's operations currently focus on destroying the American offensive infrastructure in the region, and after that the next stages will begin."
On Thursday, the US Central Command "CENTCOM" said in a statement that its forces launched strikes targeting coastal defense and cruise missile sites on the Iranian island of Greater Tunb, during a wave that lasted 90 minutes.
CENTCOM says the strikes aim to continue "undermining Iran's ability to threaten sailors working on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz."
In response, Tehran has for days been retaliating by bombing what it says are US military facilities in Arab countries, including Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, while some of these countries have announced that the Iranian attacks resulted in civilian casualties and damage to civilian facilities.
On June 18 last, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding that included a ceasefire, and began negotiations mediated by Pakistan and Qatar to end the war that the United States and Israel launched against Iran on February 28 last.
However, US President Donald Trump announced on July 8 of this month the end of the ceasefire against the backdrop of renewed escalation, after Iran, a day earlier, attacked three ships while they were transiting the Strait of Hormuz, claiming they did not adhere to the navigation route it had set, prompting Washington to respond by launching attacks on sites inside Iran.
Washington supports the passage of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz on a route different from the one set by Iran, which Tehran rejects, asserting that it targets any ship that does not coordinate with it before transiting the strategic strait for global energy supplies.
