The Revolutionary Guard announced that a US airbase in Jordan was targeted by Iranian ballistic missiles on Tuesday.

According to a statement by the Fars news agency, the Revolutionary Guard urged the Jordanian people to remove US bases from their territory.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Jordanian army announced that its air defenses intercepted and shot down four missiles launched from Iran without any casualties or material damage, as Tehran intensifies its attacks on Washington's allies in the region in response to US strikes on it.

The army statement quoted a responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces as saying that "air defense systems intercepted and shot down, at dawn on Tuesday, four missiles that entered Jordanian airspace coming from Iranian territory," noting that "they did not result in any casualties or material damage."
