The Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism, Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghidi, received the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Libya to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Fateh Al-Bashir Bshinah, at the Alliance headquarters in Riyadh, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of counter-terrorism and capacity building, and to review the Alliance's main programs and initiatives aimed at supporting member states.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the programs and initiatives implemented by the Alliance in its four areas: intellectual, media, combating terrorist financing, and military, and the results achieved in developing national competencies, enhancing coordination among member states, and consolidating best international practices in confronting terrorism in all its forms.

Al-Moghidi affirmed that the Islamic Alliance continues to implement its specialized programs aimed at capacity building and enhancing integration and cooperation among states, based on a firm conviction that countering terrorism requires effective partnerships, exchange of expertise, and integration of efforts, thus contributing to consolidating security and stability at the regional and international levels.

For his part, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Libyan Embassy, Fateh Al-Bashir Bshinah, expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Islamic Military Alliance led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, praising its specialized programs and initiatives that contribute to supporting member states and enhancing their readiness in the fields of counter-terrorism.

He pointed out that Libya looks forward to benefiting from these initiatives, stressing that the current phase requires strengthening cooperation in capacity building and exchanging expertise, given Libya's geographical and strategic importance in its regional environment, making cooperation with the Alliance a fundamental pillar to support security and stability efforts and confront common challenges.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and expanding horizons of cooperation to serve common interests, and enhancing the capabilities of member states to confront terrorism and dry up its sources, based on an approach of effective partnership, unified efforts, and building an integrated system that enhances security and stability.
