A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces stated that air defense systems shot down eight Iranian missiles early this morning that were targeting the Kingdom's territory. The military source, quoted by the Petra News Agency, confirmed that the interception was carried out within the framework of the adopted defensive and operational procedures, to preserve the Kingdom's sovereignty, protect its airspace, and ensure the safety of citizens. It was clarified that these incidents did not result in any injuries or material damage, while Royal Engineering Corps teams dealt with the shrapnel that fell in a number of sites and secured them according to technical and security procedures. The source stressed that the armed forces continue to monitor the airspace with the highest readiness, affirming that they will deal with any threat according to the adopted rules of engagement. He called on citizens to obtain information from official sources and not to circulate rumors or untrustworthy news.
