Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met today (Thursday) with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Political Affairs Dr. Saud bin Mohammed Al-Sati. The two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance mutual cooperation to support common interests and open broader horizons for partnership between Saudi Arabia and Canada. They discussed regional developments, expressing their condemnation and denunciation of Iranian violations targeting tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, and the heinous attacks that affected a number of regional countries. They stressed the need for de-escalation, a return to the negotiating path, and prioritizing the language of dialogue to reach a comprehensive agreement.
