21/06/2026 LOC13:19 10:19 GMT
Beirut, June 21 (KUNA) -- The Lebanese army on Sunday called on residents to delay returning to southern border villages and towns. The army command, in a statement, urged residents to follow the instructions of military units deployed in the south, 'to ensure their safety from the risk of Israeli violations and attacks.' The statement indicated that specialized units of the Lebanese army continued to dismantle unexploded aircraft bombs left over from the aggression of the Israeli occupation forces in the towns of (Tibnin) and (Khirbet Selm) in the (Bint Jbeil) district, and (Majdel Selm), (Debin) and (Blat) in the (Marjeyoun) district, and transported them to safe locations to ensure the safety of citizens. It also mentioned that units under the army command worked to open main and secondary roads in the towns of (Debin) and (Blat). Regarding field military developments, no raids or artillery shelling by the occupation forces have been recorded so far in southern Lebanon, after reports yesterday that the Israeli occupation prime minister announced the cessation of military operations in Lebanon.
