Kuwait Interior Ministry Denies Banning Vehicles with Violations from Border Crossings
وزارة الداخلية الكويتية تكشف حقيقة الإجراءات المتبعة عند المنافذ الحدودية، وتوضح أن منع المركبات يقتصر على حالات قضائية وتأمينية فقط.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior denied what was circulated on some social media platforms regarding preventing all vehicles from leaving border crossings if there are unpaid traffic violations, stressing that this information is baseless.
The Ministry clarified that the applicable procedure is limited to only two cases: vehicles subject to judicial or precautionary seizure, and vehicles whose insurance document has expired, in accordance with the approved legal procedures, noting that vehicles with traffic violations are not included in these cases.
The Ministry explained that the departure of Kuwaiti citizens through border crossings does not require paying traffic violations, while residents are required to pay their due traffic violations before leaving the country, according to the applicable regulations and procedures.
The Ministry of Interior called on everyone to verify accuracy, refrain from circulating any unconfirmed information, and refer to official sources for correct information.
