The Kuwaiti army, in 3 statements published since dawn Saturday on its account on the American company X platform, said that air defenses 'confronted hostile missile and drone attacks following the Iranian aggression.'
It added that 'the sounds of explosions that may be heard are the result of air defense systems intercepting the attacks,' calling on everyone to adhere to security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities.
Kuwait Airways also announced rescheduling most of its flights after takeoff and landing traffic was 'temporarily' halted at Kuwait International Airport, against the backdrop of the Iranian attacks.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy announced, in a statement, a fire broke out in parts of an electrical power and water desalination plant after it was subjected to an Iranian attack.
In Jordan, a responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces said, in a statement, that air defense systems confronted at dawn Saturday 10 Iranian missiles that entered Jordanian airspace and were targeting the kingdom's territory, intercepting and shooting them down.
The source stated that 'the interception operations were carried out in accordance with operational procedures and defensive measures in place, to preserve the kingdom's sovereignty, the security of its airspace, and the safety of citizens,' noting that they did not result in any human casualties or material damage.
He added that Royal Engineering Corps teams began dealing with and securing the sites of falling debris, while the armed forces continue to monitor the airspace with the highest state of readiness.
In Bahrain, the Ministry of Interior issued 4 announcements since dawn Saturday calling on citizens and residents to 'remain calm and head to the nearest safe place after the sounding of sirens.'
Following that, the Bahrain Defense Force General Command announced, in a statement, that its air defense systems 'intercepted and destroyed a number of treacherous Iranian aerial attacks' that targeted the kingdom.
It said that Iran 'continues its systematic hostile approach through its criminal attacks targeting civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain.'
The General Command affirmed that all its weapons and military units are 'at the highest levels of readiness and on defensive alert to protect the kingdom.'
It also called on citizens and residents to 'exercise caution, avoid approaching any strange or suspicious objects resulting from the remnants of the attacks, and report them immediately to the competent authorities.'
The Bahrain Defense Force General Command stressed that the use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes 'a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.'
In the context, Saudi Civil Defense announced, via posts on the X platform, the activation of alerts from the National Platform for Early Warning of Emergencies in the governorates of Yanbu and Al-Kharj to warn of danger, without providing further details about the nature of the threat.
The Kurdistan Region Counter-Terrorism Authority in northern Iraq also announced the downing of 5 explosive-laden drones in Erbil province.
The authority stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that 'international coalition forces shot down five drones in Erbil,' confirming 'no casualties were recorded.'
These developments come within attacks launched by Iran on Gulf countries in recent days, in response to American attacks against it.
On Saturday morning, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced, in a statement, that its naval force carried out 'an intensive attack with missiles and drones, targeting the fuel support and supply pier of the US fleet at Al-Ahmadi port in Kuwait, and the enemy's aerial weapons warehouse at Sheikh Isa air base in Bahrain,' according to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA).
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) also announced on Saturday the completion of the seventh wave of overnight attacks on Iran.
It explained in a statement that the strikes targeted observation points, military logistics infrastructure, and Iranian naval capabilities.
It added: 'The US Central Command continues to hold Iran accountable, as it continues to impose the naval blockade.'
For days, the United States has been launching successive waves of strikes on sites inside Iran, while Tehran launches attacks on what it says are US ships, facilities, and military bases in several countries in the region.
On June 18, 2026, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding that included a cessation of military operations and the start of negotiations to reach a broader agreement.
However, US President Donald Trump announced on July 8 of this month the end of the interim agreement, following the targeting of 3 ships in the Strait of Hormuz, leading Washington to resume its strikes inside Iran, amid escalating Iranian responses in the region.
Washington demands ensuring freedom and security of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, while Tehran insists on imposing a mechanism to regulate the passage of ships through the strategic waterway, exacerbating fears of disruption of oil and gas exports from the region.
