Map of US Strikes in Iran Over 48 Hours
The scope of US strikes inside Iran expanded over 48 hours, from naval and coastal sites in the south and southeast to a point on the railway line in the northeast, according to data from the US Central Command (CENTCOM) and reports from official and semi-official Iranian media.
CENTCOM said US forces carried out strikes on about 170 targets over two consecutive nights. The latest round included about 90 targets, including air defense systems, coastal surveillance sites, missile and drone storage facilities, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure along the Iranian coast.
The previous round had targeted more than 80 targets, including command and control centers, coastal radars, anti-ship missile capabilities, and over 60 small boats belonging to the Revolutionary Guard in and near the Strait of Hormuz.
The strikes were distributed across three main areas: naval and coastal facilities around the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman, military and logistics facilities in southern cities and ports, and a railway point in Golestan that Iranian sources linked to the Tehran-Mashhad line and land trade routes.
Strait of Hormuz
Iranian media reported late Wednesday evening that air defense systems were activated to deal with 'hostile targets' in the skies around Bandar Abbas, off the Strait of Hormuz.
The semi-official Mehr news agency reported that several explosions were heard around 23:15 local time in the Bandar Abbas and Sirik areas, and cited unverified local messages about successive explosions in Bandar Abbas, especially near the Bahnar area and around the ports.
The Revolutionary Guard-affiliated Tasnim news agency said projectiles struck the city of Bandar Abbas. Video clips showed large explosions and fires near the city's Haqqani port.

In the eastern part of the strait, specifically in the ports of Chabahar and Konarak, the official IRNA news agency reported at least 10 explosions, with power outages in parts of Chabahar, which hosts naval bases for the regular Iranian army and parallel units of the Revolutionary Guard's navy. The port plays a key role in commanding Iranian naval operations in the Gulf of Oman.
The Revolutionary Guard-affiliated Tasnim said US fighter jets bombed Imam Ali camp, belonging to the Revolutionary Guard's navy in Chabahar, while Iranian state TV reported that shrapnel from projectiles hit Imam Ali hospital in the city.
Mehr reported that the Beheshti and Kalantari piers, as well as the navigation control tower at Chabahar port, were targeted as part of the attacks on coastal areas.
Videos and images showed the aftermath of a strike on a maritime surveillance tower in Chabahar, while eyewitness footage published by Reuters showed the sky glowing orange near the maritime tower after a reported strike in the city.
Coastal Facilities
Iranian media also reported hearing explosions or recording strikes in Jask, Konarak, Sirik, and Abu Musa Island, near the Strait of Hormuz.
In Khuzestan province, southwestern Iran, the Revolutionary Guard-affiliated Fars news agency quoted the deputy governor as saying three people were killed near the city of Ahvaz, and others were injured in a US attack, while the cities of Mahshahr and Hamidiyeh came under attack.
Authorities in the southern provinces of Fars and Kerman denied any attacks.
Mehr news agency reported hearing several explosions in Bushehr province around midday Thursday, without specifying the location or cause. Bushehr houses port facilities, a civilian nuclear reactor, and a large military presence.
The official IRNA news agency reported that US strikes targeted several sites in Bushehr province around midday. IRNA quoted a local official saying the strikes hit the vicinity of the Bushehr nuclear plant, as well as a fishing pier on the coast.
The US military did not announce new attacks inside Iran during daylight hours Thursday, after announcing 90 targets hit overnight.

The Iranian military had said that eight of its personnel were killed in previous US strikes targeting Bandar Abbas and Bushehr.
In Sistan and Baluchestan province in the southeast, Mehr news agency reported explosions in the northeastern area of Iranshahr, near the Pakistani border, as attacks continued on targets in southern and southeastern Iran.
IRNA quoted the deputy governor of Sistan and Baluchestan and the governor of Iranshahr as confirming that the city's airport facilities were attacked, announcing the death of a firefighter in the incident.
Iranian media said the attack on Iranshahr airport damaged the flight operations building and the meteorological station at the airport.
Railway Line
In northern Iran, state media reported a strike on a railway bridge near Aq Qala in Golestan province. State TV said a railway bridge in Aq Qala was hit by a US strike, while clips, whose location was verified by CNN, showed a damaged bridge in the city.
Local government reports said several projectiles hit the Aq Tekeh Khan bridge on the railway line west of Aq Qala, and two projectiles exploded on the railway track.

The Iranian Railways Company announced the suspension of passenger train service on the Tehran-Mashhad line after 'one of the points on the route' was attacked. It said technical and operational teams were sent to the site and repair work on the damaged section has begun.
The train suspension came hours before a ceremony in Mashhad, increasing pressure on this vital passenger route.
Iran's Health Ministry said Thursday that the US strikes over the past two days have killed at least 14 people and injured 78 others.
The toll includes eight members of the Iranian air force and navy killed in strikes on Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, a firefighter killed at Iranshahr airport, three killed in the vicinity of Ahvaz, and other deaths whose details have not yet been clarified.
