"Masam" removes (1,207) mines from various Yemeni territories in a week
The project of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center "Masam" to clear Yemeni lands of mines, in the first week of July 2026, managed to remove 1,207 mines in various regions of Yemen, including 102 anti-tank mines, 34 anti-personnel mines, 1,065 unexploded ordnances, and 6 explosive devices.
The "Masam" team removed 30 anti-tank mines, 222 unexploded ordnances, and 2 explosive devices in Aden Governorate; in Qa'taba district of Al-Dhale'e Governorate, the team removed 10 unexploded ordnances and 3 explosive devices; in Al-Mukalla district of Hadramout Governorate, the team removed 30 anti-personnel mines and 694 unexploded ordnances; and in Midi district of Hajjah Governorate, they removed 2 anti-personnel mines, 69 anti-tank mines, 96 unexploded ordnances, and 1 explosive device.
In Al-Madaribah district of Lahj Governorate, the team removed 2 anti-tank mines; in Taiz Governorate, the team removed 1 anti-tank mine in Al-Makha district, 35 unexploded ordnances in Dhubab district, and 2 anti-personnel mines and 8 unexploded ordnances in Salah district.
Thus, the number of mines removed since the beginning of the "Masam" project to date has reached 572,332 mines, after they were randomly planted in various Yemeni lands to harvest innocent lives of children, women, and the elderly, and to sow fear in the hearts of the safe.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, continues its efforts to clear Yemeni lands of mines, as part of a project that enhances civilian safety and contributes to enabling Yemeni brothers to live a dignified and secure life.
