One person was killed and four injured in US strikes targeting areas in southwestern Iran. The official Iranian news agency IRNA quoted the deputy governor of Khuzestan for security and law enforcement, Waliollah Hayati, as saying: "Following the American enemy attack on Monday morning, one person was martyred and four others were injured."

Power cut in Ahvaz. Iranian media announced a power outage across Ahvaz, and earlier had reported an explosion in Machhour, south of Ahvaz. Al Arabiya channel, via its account on X platform, quoted Iranian media reporting that US airstrikes targeted the fourth air base in Dezful, north of Ahvaz. It also reported explosions in Hormozgan province and Abadan, a new explosion in Bandar Abbas, and a violent explosion near the village of Bandaran in Sirik. It also noted several explosions in southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan, and a new explosion in Chabahar and Minab. Al Arabiya also quoted a US official as saying that the US military shot down an Iranian cruise missile and a drone.

Iran denounces US strikes. Iran strongly condemned late Sunday the latest US strikes on its territory, accusing Washington of aborting all diplomatic efforts made in recent months to reduce tensions in the region, according to a foreign ministry statement. Tehran also accused the United States of blatantly violating all terms of the memorandum of understanding signed in June, and causing the return of insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz and disrupting international commercial navigation, according to the statement.
